None of us are better than all of us. Anyone have an understanding of this that fits Governments today or in the past?

After studying the Bible for over 50 years as objectively as possible, I always have trouble understanding the meaning of Romans 13:1-4. In reality, it doesn’t appear that most Christians really believe this scripture. If they did they would not have hidden Christians and Jews and others from the Nazis (that were the superior authorities of Germany at that time, that according to Romans 13:1-4 would not harm the good, but only the bad) and anyone taking a stand against them, would be taking a stand against God and be under condemnation. Let’s read that scripture.

The Bibles statement on Governments at Romans 13:1-4

1, Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

3

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Here are a few of the rulers that are apparentl not for Terror to good works. And should not be resisted

Innocent victims

At the time of writing this scripture, The Governments were murdering innocent people - John the Baptist, Christians had been arrested by Saul (Apostle Paul). The disciples of Jesus were killed by Government. The Government (Constantine and others) mixed Paganism with Christianity.

According to Romans, anyone taking a stand against Hitler, Idi Amin, Pol Pot, Stalin, Lenin, Mao Zedong, Mussolini and others are committing sin and will receive judgement for this. 2

Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

It also states that the Government does not persecute People that don’t deserve it.

So apparently all of those that were executed by the regimes mentioned above deserved what they got. Those that must be evil and deserve what they get are Jews, Christians and many other groups that have been executed by Governments. And once again, if Christians oppose those actions they are condemned by the statements of the Apostle Paul in Romans. 

Apparently this applies to Government instituted lockdowns, Quarentines, Masks, Closing of Churches, and accepting poisonous Jabs. Apparently according to this scripture, this is all for your benefit and should not be opposed since these measures are being put into force by the superior Authorities.

I have never found in my study of History any GOOD man-made Government. Period!
