Aborted Fetal Material in COVID-19 Vaccines

ICAN (Informed Consent Action Network) SEEKS TO CONFIRM MICHIGAN IS COMPLYING WITH A RECENT LAW THAT REQUIRES IT TO DISCLOSE WHICH VACCINES ARE DEVELOPED USING ABORTED FETAL TISSUE.

ICAN wrote to Michigan’s Department of Health and Human Services to request, as required by law, a copy of the documents by which COVID-19 vaccine recipients are being provided information regarding the use of fetal tissue or cells in developing these vaccines. 

A newly enacted Michigan law¹ requires that: “A recipient of a COVID-19 vaccine … shall be provided with information or informed if and in what manner the development of the vaccine utilized aborted fetal tissue or human embryonic stem cell derivation lines.”   ICAN sent a letter² to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on May 4, 2021 seeking a copy of the document(s) by which COVID-19 vaccine recipients are being provided this information.

The development of each of the three current COVID-19 vaccines currently in use involved aborted fetal tissue or human embryonic stem cell derivation lines:

 ^{Pfizer and Moderna performed confirmation tests (to ensure the vaccines work) using fetal cell lines. And Johnson & Johnson uses fetal cell lines in vaccine development, confirmation and production.}

^{The Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine includes the following ingredients: recombinant, replication-incompetent adenovirus type 26 expressing the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, citric acid monohydrate, trisodium citrate dihydrate, ethanol, 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HBCD), polysorbate-80, sodium chloride.}

^{The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine includes the following ingredients: mRNA, lipids ((4-hydroxybutyl)azanediyl)bis(hexane-6,1-diyl)bis(2-hexyldecanoate), 2 [(polyethylene glycol)-2000]-N,N-ditetradecylacetamide, 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3- phosphocholine, and cholesterol), potassium chloride, monobasic potassium phosphate, sodium chloride, dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate, and sucrose.}

^{COVID-19 “vaccines” are available only under Emergency Use Authorization.}

^{There are four fetal cell lines that are being used in vaccines currently available. These four cell lines are MRC-5, WI-38, PER C6, HEK293.}

^{In addition to these fetal cell lines, abortions were also done to obtain RA27/3 for use in the rubella vaccine. The rubella vaccine alone is the result of at least 99 abortions *32 for WI-38 and 67 for RA27/3). Yes they came from abortions, not babies who died naturally in the womb.}

^{The baby has to be alive when the tissues are taken. Otherwise, they are unusable.}

^{MRC-6 and Wi-38 are both from the 1960s. Per C6 is from 1985, while HEK293 is from 1972. There are other aborted fetal cell lines that exist, but are not currently being used for vaccinations.}

^{The most recent aborted fetal cell line is from 2015 (Walvax2). This particular cell line is the result of 9 abortions.}

^{Of those vaccines that are currently FDA-approved, all of the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella:, hepatitis A, and chickenpox vaccines, including any combination vaccines for these illnesses, use aborted fetal cell liens. One of the shingles vaccine brands and one of the rabies vaccines also us aborted fetal cells.}
